Online Booking Services

You can now use various Online Patient apps/ websites to book/ cancel your appointments, request your prescriptions, view your medical record, update your contact details and even check your symptoms.

Please remember that most appointments are 10 minutes only, so the Dr/Nurse will not be able to deal with multiple issues in a single slot.

There are two different types of apps available for our patients:

1) Online Access (NHS App, Patient Access and My GP)

2) Online triage service Doctorlink

Book routine appointments, cancel appointments, request prescriptions, view your medical record and update your contact details.

What can be booked online currently?

  • Blood tests – if you already have a form from your GP or Nurse
  • Appointments for joint or muscle pain, with our First Contact Practitioner
  • Telephone appointments with GPs
  • Cervical Smears – with a Nurse
  • Contraceptive Pill Checks – with a Nurse
  • Travel Appointments – with a Nurse
  • Childhood Immunisations – with a Nurse


Check your symptoms online 24/7. Doctorlink will make an assessment to determine the best pathway of care for you. Should it determine that you need see a GP you will be offered an appointment with us within the recommended time frame.

This is great for advice on the best way forward when you are experiencing a new illness/ condition, feel that you need to be seen sooner than our next routine appointment or are unsure if you need to see a GP.

Doctorlink has also increased its functionality to now allow patients to request their repeat medication, fit notes and more.

For other Patient Online Access apps/ websites you will need to complete the registration form and hand this in at reception or email to with a form of photo ID. This is needed for data security purposes to ensure your information is secure and confidentiality is upheld.


Please note patients under 15 cannot have their own online access accounts – see below for more information on “Proxy- Access”

Book an appointment via Reception 

Where appropriate and able to we would like to encourage patients to use ONLINE SERVICES to book/ cancel appointments as this frees up our resources to deal with more urgent cases and reduce the wait time over the phone.

However, if you do not feel able to use online apps or you cannot find what you are looking for you can contact the surgery via telephone. Your call will be answered by a care navigator who will ask you details about the reason you need to be seen to ensure you are navigated to the most appropriate appointment/ pathway of care.

If you need to request a home visit from a GP, please also call our Care Navigation Team on the telephone number below. Home visits are only available for patients living inside of the catchment area and who are deemed eligible to receive a home visit by our GPs.

Cancel your appointment

Thank you in advance for allowing another patient to use your appointment slot.

Appointments via SMS

If you have received an appointment reminder text message (SMS) you can simply reply CANCEL back by using the same message;

Online access

If you are registered for online access, you can cancel your appointment by logging onto your account from any computer, tablet or smartphone;

Call us

You can call us on 0208 772 8772 and choose Option 2;

Passing by

If you are passing by just pop in and kindly let our receptionists know that you wish to cancel your appointment.

Late or Missed Appointments

We ask that you arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive later than 15 minutes for your appointment then it will be at the discretion of the clinician as to whether they can see you.

You may be asked to re-book or wait until the clinician is available. If you know you are running a little late it is helpful for the clinicians if you phone reception to inform them.

Community Nurses

District nurses are trained nurses, who provide skilled nursing care, support and advice to patients and carers in a community setting.

Health Visitors

Health visitors will provide support and advice in the weeks following birth, and up until your child is 5 years old.
You will be contacted by the health visitor and visited at home soon after birth.

You will be contacted by letter to invite you to the clinic for an 8 month and a 2 year developmental check.

The Health Visitors run drop in clinics at Balham Health Centre (120-124 Bedford Hill, SW12 9HS) on a Wednesday 09:30-11:30 AM.  

They would prefer you to access their help via the drop in clinics, but can also be contacted on 0208 767 0193.

Courses/groups run by the Health Visitors:

  • Weaning groups
  • Baby massage

8 to 8 Hub Appointments (Outside surgery hours only)

You can now be seen by a GP outside of the practice opening hours at one of the 8 to 8 GP hubs in 3 of the Wandsworth localities. The consulting GP will have access to your full medical history and will document the consultation directly into your notes. These appointments are available up to 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays

You can only be booked into the hub by staff here at the practice who will decide if it is appropriate for you to be given a hub appointment. Please be aware these appointments are limited and are also for other local practices to use also. If in the event there are no appointments at a hub you will be advised to wait for the next available appointment at the Practice.
